Exploring the church bells

Last half term we had a very exciting opportunity to visit the church when the bells were being refurbished. We learnt a lot about the bells and their history thanks to the work of some villagers, who have been researching their history. The oldest bell is over 400 years old and the newest is over 100! We got to explore the bells close up and even do some observational drawings of the fascinating objects.
